
Grounds for Inactive Status:
- Failure to keep your pilot profile and Handbook Review current (within a 365 day window).
- Failure to update your Flight Review within 30 days of expiration
- Failure to update within 30 days of expiration, your FAA medical date or, if taking advantage of BasicMed, failure to updated the date of your online Medical Self Assessment Course within 30 days of expiration.
- Failure to fly 2 missions in the past 365 days.
Current board members, officers and appointed staff, required for the continued operation of Flights for Life, are exempt from the “Active Pilot” requirements.
For instance, a member might not be medically able to fly, or he or she may no longer have an aircraft. However, such members can still be be active and serve Flights for Life in a supportive role.
