Black Hole Airports
These are airports that are "in the middle of nowhere" and the only lights are those that illuminate the runway.
Night flight is not authorized to or from the following Black Hole airports:
Bagdad (E51)
Tuba City (T03)
White River (E24)
NOTE: The entire Navajo Nation observes Daylight Savings Time. Therefore, in the summer months, Tuba City (T03) time differs from Arizona Standard Time. NOTE: Tuba City's time zone information is incorrectly displayed in the Chart Supplement (formerly known as AF/D), and AirNav.com.
Day missions may be flown to or from a Black Hole Airport as long as the landing or takeoff does not occur between the end of civil twilight and the beginning of morning civil twilight. That's when FAR part 1 defines "night".
AirNav.com has a section in the far right column of each airport page, listing the twilight period in Local and Zulu time. For instance, if this were the AirNav.com listing for Tuba City, (shown below), you could land or takeoff during the 5:50 AM to 7:10 PM window.

In addition, most GPSs have a “Sunrise/Sunset” function to calculate sunset and sunrise times for the selected location and date.
