Canceling the Mission

If you cancel your mission, promptly promptly inform your specific Medical Organization's Dispatcher by phone.

The evening before your flight, check the weather forecast. If you are not comfortable with the forecast and wish to cancel:

1- Call the Dispatcher and let him or her know that you are cancelling for weather.

2- Write down the dispatcher's name and note the time you called.

3- Log into http://www.epilotlogs.com/ . . . On your Pilot Home Page, under "Scheduled Missions", click on the "Remove/Cancel" link adjacent to the Mission Number

4- Follow the directions on the screen (entering the Dispatcher's name and the time you called).

It is NOT appropriate to CANCEL a mission prior to 24 hours before your flight.

Note: If you cancel for weather, the Dispatcher will not ask another pilot to fly that mission. The Dispatcher will find alternative transportation.

If the weather is not acceptable, let them know

If you are not comfortable with the weather, the Dispatcher would appreciate as much notice as possible, preferably by 8:00 PM the night before.
