Pilots in the OKC area utilize three airports: Sundance (HSD), Wiley Post (PWA) and Twin Lakes (2OK2). Pilots living outside OKC, will usually begin their mission at Sundance (HSD).

Generally, all missions are an EXCHANGE. Oklahoma pilots will pick up the blood products at HSD, PWA or 2OK2 and fly those products to a mission delivery airport, such as Lawton, Amarillo, Little Rock, Tulsa, etc. Pilots will give those products to a courier who will give the pilot products for delivery in OKC. Upon arrival at HSD, PWA or 2OK2, you will deliver the products to the courier.

Amarillo based pilots will generally pick up the blood products before they leave their home base (TDW or AMA), fly to HSD, meet the courier and receive the EXCHANGE blood products for delivery in Amarillo. Tulsa, Lawton, and Little Rock based pilots will have similar missions, wherein they will bring products from their home base to Sundance, and then take the blood product back to their home base and deliver to the courier.

Missions

It's all about Coordination! The day before you mission, coordinate with OBI at 405-297- 5801. You can also call Gary Rann, 580-231-2524.

THE DAY BEFORE YOU FLY you should receive an e-mail similar to this:

 Hi Gary,
Congratulations on volunteering for your 1st two missions! This is a reminder of your scheduled FFL missions on Saturday.

 Mission 1 Details:
Departing OKC at approximately 0830.  OBI staff will meet you at Sundance (KHSD) with products to travel to Fort Smith, AR.
Arrival at Fort Smith Regional in Fort Smith at approximately 1000.  ABI staff will meet you in the Tac Air Lobby to accept the products and give you products to return to OKC.
This will be our 1st mission in Fort Smith so please be patient with the process. 

After the exchange please call OBI-OKC at 405-297-5801 to alert them of your pending departure from Fort Smith. The staff will await your arrival at Sundance Airport. 

Melissa is the Manager (479-431-5959) in Fort Smith and Ralph is the Manager in OKC (405-365-6906). 

Mission 2 Details:
Departing OKC at approximately 1630.  OBI staff will meet you at Sundance with products to travel to Amarillo, TX.
Arrival at Tradewind in Amarillo at approximately 1830.  Coffee Memorial staff will meet you there to accept the products and give you products to return to OKC.
After the exchange, please call OBI-OKC at 405-297-5801 to alert them of your pending departure from Amarillo. The staff will await your arrival at Sundance Airport.
